Saturday 17 June – Monday 19 June 2023
Best for: craft beer and cool DJs
Its inaugural debut on the UK festival scene was postponed from 2020, but in 2021 Bigfoot had an even more impressive list of headliners, outdoor activities and world-class beer for three days in June. Top beer makers Deya, The Kernel Brewery and Northern Monk made an appearance, as did natural and low-intervention winery Tillingham and innovative East London Liquor Co. Maribou State, Franc Moody and a megamix from Hot Chip were on the rota, and in between sets festival-goers were invited to feast on open-fire-roasted food from some of Britain’s top chefs – Rovi’s Neil Campbell, Scully’s Ramael Scully, Bristol-based BBQ legend Genevieve Taylor and 10 Greek Street’s Cameron Emirali. 2022 was just as exciting with Happy Mondays and Caribou headlining, drinks provided by top breweries including Signature Brews and Two Tribes, and food from Acme Fire Cult (Andrew Clarke & Daniel Watkins), Bone Daddies, Patty & Bun and so many more. There are also family activities (arts and crafts, dance workshops) and a wellness tent for sunrise yoga and meditation, plus massages and rejuvenating therapies.
2023 line-up: TBC
Don’t miss: the fun and games – shuffleboards, tree climbing and lake boating
Where to stay: there are three main camping areas – pitch-your-own and pre-reserved tents, boutique bell tents and glamping octapads
Insider tip: head to the pop-up wine bar from Clove Club sommelier Dominic Smith
If you pack one thing: shorts and t-shirts – it is English summer after all
