MANILA, Philippines — A player inside the PBA bubble in Pampanga has tested positive for COVID-19, the league announced Saturday.

The development has prompted the PBA to postpone the game between Rain or Shine and Blackwater originally scheduled Saturday at 4 p.m.

The second game featuring Barangay Ginebra and Magnolia, however, will push through.

Despite another reported infection, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial and Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) president Vince Dizon assured that the bubble remains intact.

Marcial added that Dizon has recommended the isolation of both Blackwater and TNT. The Elite and the Tropang Giga, who played against each other on Thursday.

Just recently, a referee became the first case of coronavirus in the bubble. The referee, however, “yielded negative on the presence of COVID-19 virus” after undergoing antigen testing.
