Across the 60-acre retreat, there’s something to suit everyone’s taste at suppertime. The all-inclusive concept of unconditional luxury sees menus created by Michelin-starred chefs and 24-hour room service. Five à la carte restaurants lead the pack, from a stylish Greek hideout to an eatery promising an elevated Italian experience. These are in addition to a Mediterranean buffet-style spot perfect for families, and laid-back beach bars where a choice of more than 300 international and local wines, and an array of creative cocktails, can be found.

There are 10 heated swimming pools dotted across the complex. Outdoor, indoor, adults-only or family-friendly, there’s an option to suit all types of travelling groups. When a pampering session is required, signature spa experiences are led by Anne Semonin Paris – think indulgent, sweet-scented massages in front of the rippling sea. Soak up the Greek rays on the 420km white sandy beach, or opt for an adrenaline-inducing excursion; tennis, canoeing, mountain biking and windsurfing are just a few of the thrilling expert-led activities on offer.

Alternatively, the seventh addition to the dazzling Ikos portfolio is Ikos Porto Petro – the second in Spain, following the 2021 opening of Ikos Andalusia in Marbella-Estepona. 319 accommodation options include a selection of two and three-bedroom bungalow suites, ideal for travelling families looking to spread out. Balconies look over manicured gardens, a handful of suites feature private pools, and cliff-hanging three and four-bedroom properties are in the works for the 2024 season.

An extensive gourmet offering is available. Five à la carte restaurants cater to particular palates, although the culinary possibilities don’t end there thanks to the all-inclusive ‘Dine Out’ experience, which offers evenings at local restaurants at no extra cost, supporting the community in the process.
